In the Eckford Parish records, I found a notation: 1785 November 13 William Robson in Eckford Moss was baptized. He was born the 2nd of November 1768. November 13 Andrew Alexander in Eckford Moss his child baptized William. I would be interested in learning any genealogical information about William Robson or his father Andrew Alexander Robson. Thanks, Susan

I have been researching my Robson ancestors. I have been told that there is a family grave in the Eckford cemetary. Apparently on it, it mentions that the sons emigrated to Canada.

I was hoping that someone might have some information about their parents or the ancestors that came before them. Unfortunately, I seem to have hit a major roadblock.

Brunlees / Paterson

I am Roger Lewry and can be contacted at FamHistRCL-001@yahoo.co.uk. My great, great, great uncle was James Brunlees of Kelso (later Sir James Kelso after being knighted by Queen Victoria at Windsor Castle in 1886). In 1841 his son Howard Brunlees was living at Mansion House, Eckford with his wife Eliza and nephew Ronald. Jane Innes Brunlees (sister of James Brunlees) married Andrew Paterson (both of Kelso) and they were my great, great grandparents. If anyone can tell me more about either of these families or the house in Eckford I shall be delighted to hear from them.
